April saw the Synarbor Group undergo its annual Quality Mark accreditation audit, during the course of the audit the inspector looked at the files of teachers registered with Synarbor Education, Supply Desk and Teach In. All three companies in the group achieved the 100% pass mark during the re-accreditation visit.

We also discussed our interviewing process, including the Warner style of interviewing(evokes emotional responses), how we confirmed assignments, our extensive training programme for both staff and candidates, plus how we gather and share feedback on candidate and service performance. The inspector confirming that many of these were unique amongst the Quality Mark agencies.
We were first awarded the Quality Mark in 2002 and this 100% award is our tenth anniversary year, formally acknowledging our continued commitment to achieving and maintaining the highest standards in education recruitment.
What is the Quality Mark & why is it important :
The Quality Mark is the Department for Education’s quality standard for Education Supply Agencies. Its main objectives are
- To recognise private sector supply agencies and LAs who are able to demonstrate that they meet standards of good practice in managing and providing supply teachers for schools
- To enable schools and temporary teachers to feel confident about the quality of the agencies and LAs with whom they are dealing
- To raise the standard and status of supply teaching
- To recognise the contributions made by supply teachers, agencies and LAs in supporting schools.
What are the benefits of the Quality Mark?
For Schools
It will give increased confidence to schools, parents and pupils that staff supplied by Quality Mark holders have gone through a rigorous selection process that encompasses the relevant checks and correct recruitment procedures. It also offers assurance that legal obligations have been met as well as the provision of access to CPD for all teachers.
For Teachers
Teachers will be confident that they have selected an accredited and reputable service that will add value to their experience as supply teachers. It was also offer assurance that all legal obligations have been met as well as the provision of access to CPD for all teachers.
